You Matter to Us!
If you are in need of immediate help:
- Call 911 for emergency services.
- Go to the nearest hospital emergency room or psychiatric urgent care center.
- Contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 24/7 to be connected to a trained mental health/addictions counselor at a crisis center nearest you (for those in crisis and loved ones). You can also text 988 or chat online at 988online.org.
- Press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line. You don't have to be enrolled in VA health care or registered with VA to connect; loved ones can also connect for support.
- Press 2 for Spanish.
- Text HOME (or Ayuda for Spanish) to 741741 to reach a trained counselor at the Crisis Text Line. You can also message on WhatsApp.

- NAMI Helpline: Call 1-800-950-NAMI (6264) or text "HelpLine" to 62640. NAMI also offers free programs and support groups throughout Maryland.
- SAMHSA National Helpline: 1-800-662-4357 (free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service).
- Maryland Crisis Hotline: Call 211, press 1.

- Safe Schools Maryland: Use the Safe Schools Maryland app from the App Store or Google Play.
- If you need words of wisdom, encouragement and life advice, call Peptoc, a free recorded service of uplifting words from children at West Side Elementary in Healdsburg, California. Call 1-707-873-7862 for a small dose of joy.
- Maryland Housing Search is a free, confidential online tool that helps individuals and families find affordable rental housing and supportive housing options across Maryland. For additional assistance, call 1.877.428.8844 (toll free) Monday-Friday 8am-7pm Central. Dial 7-1-1 for TTY.
- Maryland's Restaurant Meals Program allows eligible individuals—such as older adults, people with disabilities, and individuals experiencing homelessness—to use their EBT benefits at participating restaurants to purchase prepared or hot meals. Participants must be enrolled in the program, and all use of benefits is confidential.
